From GoPSUSports.com, running back Evan Royster will return for his senior season at Penn State. Royster likely would have been a mid-round selection in this year's NFL Draft, but instead he will anchor the Lions' rushing attack one more time, and barring injury, he will likely break the school's career rushing record.
We are all for this move, as it gives what could be a shaky offense a consistent threat out of the backfield, and it gives the younger guys some more time to learn.
Might Royster be missing out on some money because of the rookie pay scale that could likely be implemented for the 2011 season? Perhaps, but a big senior year could really increase his draft stock as well. All in all, we're glad to have him back.
