Building the Tailgate, Part IV

(Tailgating is a big part of our football lives, we do it every game every year. We're going to make this tailgating themed article a regular thing where we pick up items we would want for our tailgate. We're going to to be going out of our price range, obviously, but we plan on staying within reason... somewhat. This is just what we would do if we had the cash. And please, point us in the right direction if you see something that should be part of any dream trailgate scenario.)
Read more to get to the meat of this thing.
Right, so when you read the first Building the Tailgate where we talked about the VuQube, you may have wandered "well gee guys, where do you plan on watching all this television?" Right now, as this is being typed, the answer to that question is, "the 13 inch tv/vcr combo that we carry in the RV in case anyone wants to play guitar hero."
With that little TV holding is back, we think it's time to look for an upgrade... or at the very least dream about one. We can't quite afford to be throwing around all of this cash, afterall. So anyway, if we had the VuQube we could watch whatever, right? Time for an upgrade on the TV front.
The problem? We tailgate in State College. For the Oregon State game last year, we tailgated in a monsoon. No TV would have survived. If you braved the November nights for the Michigan State game last year, then like us, you were out in ~30 degree weather from 10am until ohhh, midnight or so. Again, not a place you want to take your TV. With the potential for rain seemingly every day, and changes in temperature so drastic from one week to the next that we pack a parka in Septemeber (you know, just in case), it's hard to imagine anyone willing to carry their own TVs to the tailgate. We see the big money RV people have them, but they're usually inside. If we're going to take a TV, we want to know it's going to be able to take it. With that in mind, we tracked down the SunBriteTV brand.
Yeah, we know. It just looks like any other TV.
If you go back to the top of that photo and click the SunBriteTV link you'll get all the info you need about the different models and pricing, but for the sake of the our tailgate we're only concerned about a few things, most noteably: Can it stand up to the a September hurricane, a November freeze, or any random night when a WWTL friend may spill their Molson on it? Hey, it happens, and according to what we read about SunBriteTV, they can handle it.
Now we just need to come up with a couple grand to get one of these things...
